I am a Canadian grown talent who has been heavily involved in the dance industry since the age of 12, accumulating training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Hip Hop. I also achieved a bachelor\u2019s degree with honours in Classical Civilization at Carleton University and Dean\u2019s List honours from Algonquin College. Now I apply these lessons, helping children and at-risk adults lead healthy and independent lives.<\/p><p>I have twice represented Canada at the World Tap Dance Championships held annually in Germany. In 2001, I placed 1st both as a member of the Team Formation, and as the first man in Canada ever to don the mantle of World Solo Tap Dance Champion. I have performed Internationally and headlined events such as the &#8220;Skate Canada Figure Skating Awards&#8221;, the &#8220;World Figure Skating Championship&#8221; opening ceremonies, and Odyssey Showcase\u2019s many varied productions on the history of Jazz.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-85455d1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"85455d1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I offer STOMP, TAP, HIP HOP instruction covering the Ontario Ministry of Education\u2019s Fine Arts curriculum requirements and also work with public speaking groups such as the ESTEEM Team and with both the Ottawa Carleton District School Board and the Ottawa Catholic Board covering a variety of topics ranging from mental health to inner wealth.<\/p><p>I have been with Odyssey Showcase since 2005 as the lead Tap Dancer, Choreographer and Dance Coach including performances for the Governor General&#8217;s &#8220;History Awards&#8221; with Odyssey Showcase\u2019s feature presentation \u201cCanada Roars: A Musical Taste of Our Canadian Heritage\/Notre patrimoine canadien, une odyss\u00e9e musicale.&#8221;<\/p><p>Odyssey Showcase is a driving force for cultural awareness in our Ottawa Community. What has always impressed me is that Artistic Director (Deborah Davis), tries so earnestly to ensure that the cultures of the various societies present in Canada are represented in every performance, not just their mere presence. Song, story, and art all come alive to reveal a rich history that is embedded in our collective history.
